The following text will be an answer from the letter Lucy van Pelt sent to her unconditional friend, Charlie Brown, in which she asked him advice to catch Schroeder´s attention, because all the things she has been doing for years seem not to work. In consequence, she is despairing in the face of that she will remain single for the rest of her life, thing that cannot happen to a woman during this time. Charlie´s response makes her see that she does not have to do extraordinary things to catch someone´s attention, instead, he encourages her to be just as she is and not to change a thing. My purpose for writing this type of text is that a letter gives a deeper thought and opinion of the topic being discussed, since it is a very intimate way of communicating, which can help a lot with very delicate topics like self-esteem and being yourself. With a letter the author can appeal to people´s hearts and way of thinking, instating them to change their attitude. Combined with an informal language, I strongly believe I can really express what I was trying to say and reach my target audience, people who have low self-esteem due to stereotypes.
