Outsiders, from Omaha, Nebraska, two misfits manage to find love for the first time. Star-crossed lovers, Eleanor and Park put a twist on one of Shakespeare 's most famous play, Romeo and Juliet. While madly in love, destiny tears them apart, as their future lies separate from each other. Opposition similar to the ill fated Romeo and Juliet, Eleanor and Park desperately attempt to fight back, but in vain. However, without a doubt, both Eleanor and Park walk away with wisdom and experience, as these two naive lovers, endure true love and reminisce their relationship in the story. In Rainbow Rowell’s fiction novel, Eleanor and Park, experiences change people and shape who them become, with love as a driving force behind these changes. Love plays a pivotal factor in the novel, as two love serves as an umbrella connecting the whole story together and a drives both Eleanor and Park in their catastrophic adventure of love. Rowell’s Eleanor and Park puts a twist on Shakespearean romance, with a mix of her own experience of young love, as at a young age goes through a relationship similar to that of Romeo and Juliet .
