What is considered horror? “The Tell-Tale Heart,” is a short story written by Edgar Allan Poe. The narrator of the story is annoyed with another man’s vulture eye. His intent is to murder the old man even though he claims he is not mad. After restless nights of watching the old man; one night, the narrator feels the triumph to kill the man. He later dismembers and hides the corpse under the flooring. Later the police come for questioning and his guilty conscience leads to his confession. “The Tell-Tale Heart” fits the criteria of the horror genre.
