Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds is a story about a teenage boy named Jack who falls in love with a girl named Kate. Their love story is both sweet and tragic as they struggle to overcome obstacles, including time itself. The concept of star-crossed lovers is evident throughout the novel as Jack and Kate’s relationship is constantly challenged by time. Whenever they manage to overcome one obstacle, another one arises. For example, when Kate becomes ill and passes away, Jack is devastated, but then he discovers that he can travel back in time to save her.
