Microsystem
The micro system entails all the aspects of an individual’s personality and it focuses on an individual’s needs, ambitions, hopes, beliefs, goals, interest, weakness and strengths. The focus of a microsystem of social work practice involves working with the individual. Identifying the issues and problems that need to be addressed to enhance his/her functioning. (Kirst-Ashman, 2013) For example, a social worker dealing with a youth-at-risk may want to work on his belief system and promote his positive strengths as a beginning of the intervention framework of the youth.
Mezzosystem
The mezzosystem provides the connection between the structures of the person’s microsystem. This social system refers to those situations

It comprises of cultural values, customs, economy and laws (Berk, 2000). The effects defined by the macrosystem have an influence throughout the interactions of all other systems. For example, due to an economy downfall, a father who is the sole bread winner of the family has to be retrenched. This in turn can cause the family to be in disorder due to financial instability. 6) Empowerment and Advocacy
Empowerment encourage the client’s ability to improve themselves while advocacy involves helping the client directly. Appropriate collaboration between client and social worker is needed to promote mutual agreement for the betterment. Clients have to understand that social workers are there to empower and advocate for them rather than fixed their problems.
7) Diverse Workforce
Recruiting different culture and ethnic groups within the social work profession can increase avenues of cultural competency. This will reflect the social workers’ commitment to diversity and inclusion. Furthermore, a diverse workforce of social workers can bring skills or knowledges to the profession that can enhance the delivery of services to the clients
8) Professional Education
Education and training need to keep up to meet the changing needs of the client populations. Social workers should be provided with training and opportunities for continuing education to sustain their competency and
