The Time Keeper: Success and Relationships In 1923, the brothers (Albert, Sam, Harry, and Jack) formed Warner Brothers Pictures Incorporated. They faced many struggles but survived the odds because of their relationship. As of now, Warner Brothers are known worldwide for its production of films, music, and entertainment programs. This corresponds to The Time Keeper. Having a strong relationship and good perception helps achieve success. Mitch Albom links to reality using the characters of The Time Keeper. Throughout the novel, Victor is shown being immersed in his work. Victor is an individual with exceptional power. His business burgeoned which induced him slipping away from Grace. His joint activities with Grace came to an end. Their marriage fell apart as Victor was solicitous towards working and never paid attention to Grace. Here Grace mentions, "At first they did so much together. But as Victor's business mushroomed, their joint activities fell away.(Albom 54).Their weak bond caused Victor to make decisions alone which would always result in him jeopardizing his success. Victor's perception of death deteriorated him. He was not focusing on what was right in front of him. Rather, he wanted more time and failed to discern Alli’s affection towards him. Had he been wiser, he would have developed a healthy relationship with Grace and would have avoided making erratic decisions. Grace knew Victor was frustrated but was unaware of Victor planning a new life. As per to the book, "The marriage felt like something spilled. Grace chafed at Victor's impatience, his penchant for correcting people, his reading during a meal, and his willingness to interrupt any social occasion for a business call (Albom 54). Their life together felt more like an obligation than love. He kept everything clandestine from Grace foreseeing she would never acknowledge him. Grace recalls the times when she and Victor used to be so in love. Victor did not even remember or miss the times he and his wife enjoyed together. Victor fails to realize how fortunate he is to have his wife and desires time to go slower for the wrong and egocentric reason.
