“Love is when the other person’s happiness is more important than your own. ”- H. Jackson Brown Jr. This quote is reflecting the main point of Romeo and Juliet. In this tragic story both Romeo and Juliet put themselves before each other and act upon what will not only benefit them but will benefit the significant other even more.
Theme: Love may hurt (you)/ Love is a game, if you aren’t careful you’ll get hurt./you have to learn to play before you get hurt. Romeo and Juliet fall in love, initially Romeo was hurt and that’s why he met Juliet. Upon meeting her, they instantly fall in love. Knowing it could never work between them due to their family feud, they still fought for their love. As hard as they tried in the end they both died.
The Irresponsible Deaths of Romeo and Juliet There is always that one person that does not listen to anyone no matter if they are given good or bad advice. That one person always ends up on the wrong path. That is the same story as “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet”, by William Shakespeare. Who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Is it Friar Laurence, Tybalt, or even Romeo himself?
What Romeo did was that he wore a mask so no one recognize him and a Montague. When he got there he saw Juliet and fell in love with her the moment he laid his eyes on her but juliet 's cousin Tybalt recognized romeo and wanted to kill him on the spot but Lord Capulet insisted that Tybalt did not disrupt the part because the prince would get mad. After that Romeo goes over to Juliet and tells her his feelings towards her and they kiss.
II. Comparison and Contrast: These two literary pieces are one of the saddest love stories in literature. In most romances, their love bloomed slowly and their love was truly above all and became the purpose of their lives, loving each other till their last breath. These two literary pieces are one of the best stories that I’d ever read, and it was so wonderful and breathtaking, reading this gave me a thrill of suspense, while thinking how to compare and contrast between the two literary pieces, the common is that both are all about love and tragedy. Romeo and Juliet is forbidden to fall in love because of their family having an ongoing feud, and had a love at first sight, they are expressing their love secretly and privately for their family
Alice Coachman Davis is the first African American woman to win a gold medal. Growing up in the south, she didn't have many opportunities to peruse what she loved. But after years of training and hard work, which involved running barefoot in the gravel, and moving from school to school across the south, she finally qualified for the Olympics in 1948, and in the end she received a gold medal in high jump. Like Alice, Shakespeare believes that when someone follows their heart’s desires, although it may not be the easiest path, its the path that will make the most sense in the end. He shows this through the tragic ending of Romeo and Juliet’s relationship and the relationship in between Juliet and her parents.
Love can lead to demise. This is evident in the play Romeo and Juliet, set in Verona, Italy in 1954, written by William Shakespeare. Two lovers, Romeo and Juliet from feuding families defy their families and attempt to be with each other, however, tragedy occurs when Romeo gets banished to Mantua after fighting and killing Tybalt, and Juliet is forced into an arranged marriage with Count Paris by her father. These events lead to the inevitable deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet’s deaths could have been avoided if Tybalt never initiated a fight with Romeo, the Friar never gave Juliet the potion to drink, and Romeo had never gone to the masquerade ball.

A tragedy is centered around the downfall of a specific character known as the tragic hero, whose ultimate downfall makes the story tragic. The tragic hero is a “good” character who ultimately meets a piteous end through an error due to an unavoidable flaw, and in order to be considered a tragic hero, the figure and his fate must embody certain characteristics. A tragic hero is easily recognized by the effect he has on society and others. Analytical Essay: Romeo and Juliet We often blame fate for the problems we face in our lives but sometimes events take place because of our own actions. In the tragedy of William Shakespeare, Romeo, and Juliet, two lovers come across each other building conflict which then leads to the death of them both and others. Although they are referred to as “star-crossed lovers”, there are many events that take place that could have been avoided if they had chosen to do so. He climbed up Juliet's balcony and searched for her. Juliet came out of her room on to her balcony and they met. They talked a few minutes and kissed compassionately. They definitely wanted to meet again so on they did but it was hard for them since she was wealthy
In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare two young people instantly fall in love with one another. The two meet at a party where one isn't supposed to be. They instantly know that the love they hold for each other is true. This scene is important because without it the two would have never met and the story would have never existed. Meeting on the streets, Tybalt gets in battle with Mercutio, who gets killed and in turn, Romeo kills Tybalt over his anguish for his cousin’s death.
