To begin with, Romeo is all too eager to find love, and rushes to find a new pretty face. Immediately after laying eyes on Juliet, Romeo is transfixed and believes that it is true love. Later that night, he wishes to marry her, saying that he can have satisfaction with “The exchange of thy love’s faithful vow for mine” (II. 2. 127). Romeo knows nothing about Juliet, only that she is the most beautiful girl that he has ever seen. Even after his last relationship fails, Romeo does not learn.
Both Romeo and Juliet were very young and naive at the time and were not experienced in love. The whole story is a rollercoaster ride full of drama and emotion. Their destiny caused them to meet each other at the dinner party. At the start, Romeo did not want to go until his cousin Benvolio persuaded him to go to get his mind off Rosaline. This worked out perfectly because he ended up meeting Juliet.
II. Comparison and Contrast: These two literary pieces are one of the saddest love stories in literature. In most romances, their love bloomed slowly and their love was truly above all and became the purpose of their lives, loving each other till their last breath. These two literary pieces are one of the best stories that I’d ever read, and it was so wonderful and breathtaking, reading this gave me a thrill of suspense, while thinking how to compare and contrast between the two literary pieces, the common is that both are all about love and tragedy. Romeo eventually hears of Juliet’s death from his servant. Not knowing of Juliet’s true plan, he immediately rushes to the conclusion that Juliet is truly dead.
Upon first meeting Romeo at her father’s masked party, she does not shy away from his forward nature as would be proper and typical of an unmarried girl but rather engages him in playful banter and builds upon their flirtation. She even engages in a kiss with Romeo that very night. Yet the qualities that make up Romeo and Juliet respectively are what draw them together and merge their

For our summative, Tori, Michelle and I created a dance showing the connections between Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. The two books share four main themes; love, courage, difference and abuse. Personally, I think dance is the best way to tell a story. By telling a story through movement there are so many more ways to express emotion and tell the story from a different perspective. My group members and I started the choreography finding multiple connections between the two books, such as: fights between main characters, secret relationships and fate, and started to think of movement phrases to go with these connections.
Furthermore, Harold Bloom describes Feste as a “reluctant jester”. " He carries his exhaustion with verve and wit, and always with the air of knowing all there is to know…with a sweet melancholy.
