During the analysis of Ted Cruz’s speech at Liberty University, the campaign committee used strategic setting, illustrated the American Dream and appealed to Christian values to successfully influence their audience to follow Ted Cruz in his run for president. On March 23, 2015, Senator Ted Cruz kicked off his Presidential Campaign in Virginia at Liberty University, where its socially conservative student body became a political powerhouse. According to Ken Cuccinelli, president of the Senate Conservatives Fund and former Virginia attorney general, Liberty has become a powerful organizing center for conservative activists; Liberty produces thousands of graduates who volunteer and vote for conservative causes. Cruz’s speech focused on the American Dream and the agenda of the Republican right, as he described his campaign as a movement of “courageous conservatives.”
“My purpose is to be president,” Kasich responded. “And those who are wondering about Donald Trump, if I go head to head with him in Ohio, I beat him by 18 points. I intend to go all the way, I intend to be the nominee, and I intend to beat Hillary Clinton by more than 11 points.” Kelly pressed on to question Kasich’s candidacy asking if he stealing votes from candidates that had a better chance of beating Trump. “I’m not sure who those people are but people counted me out, they said you know, he will never get to New Hampshire and we went to New Hampshire and we finished second,” Kasich said.
Writer is trying to reach and connect with most of the readers and they are middle class. Middle class is the one who is the larger audience and are looking forward to see his tax return. Since Trump has been saying since his campaign has started that he has done nothing illegal and he has been emphasizing on it. He has made that his campaign’s main point that he has done nothing wrong and knows how to stay within the boundaries to go ahead and beyond to get his work done and he has what it takes to get the job done. Writer knows that a multimillionaire’s tax return is always a big subject.
The start I agree that both parties are wrong to think that election is stupid or meaningless. Another topic that I agree on is that Trump shouldn 't have won the Republican vote but but some other and better Republican. Another big topic that involves Donald is his Twitter account and thinking that some people really care what he is thinking about. He is either making people agree with him or other people that don 't agree with him and get pissed. Donald Tump probably doesn 't even notice that his approval rating have dropped by a lot.
There is no doubting when it comes to rhetoric that a strong emotional appeal by a credible influential figure is an incredibly effective rhetorical strategy. This is gloriously exemplified in Allison Grimes’ article, "'' Rigged' rhetoric wrong, destructive", wherein Mrs. Grimes asserts that Trumps questioning of the legitimacy of the current election cycle is dangerous, however, her usage of emotional appeal and appeal to authority underscores her failure to include logical appeal. Allison begins her article firmly, by stating "It's time to tell it like it is."
President Trump’s State of the Union address discusses many of the United State’s most disputed topics, such as immigration. Though the address possesses its supporters, it also contains critics. The Washington Examiner titles its headline, “Trump won on immigration... the media ignored it” by Eddie Scarry, a supporter of President Trump’s State of the Union address. This article first discusses how President Trump communicates a story of a family who lost their two daughters because an illegal immigrant murdered them.
Former Texas Governor and two-time Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry came out of hiding after suspending his campaign to speak at Value Voter Summit Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C. Speaking as a non-presidential candidate, Perry called on all conservatives to stand by a candidate that wouldn’t divide the party. Without mentioning names, Perry renewed the rivalry against the Republican front-runner Donald Trump. During his brief run, Perry would tried to take on Trump, but that led to his poll numbers dropping, which ultimately led to Perry being the very first candidate to bow out the race earlier this month. “We see in our politics today a lot of agitation,” Perry said to the 2,500 social conservative attendees on Friday,
The use of visual cues is an effective way to communicate a particular message to a desired audience. Both text and picture in a political cartoon, or a real life image, can be used to present commentary on a particular political situation. For instance, a political cartoon illustrates Ted Cruz on an island alone with a boat driving away with the wording “GOP Support,” to display the lack of support he gets from fellow Republicans. Furthermore, the article “Obnoxiousness is the New Charisma” written by Frank Bruni, presents an unflattering picture of Ted Cruz with his fist up and a blurred out mouth. Since both these images are anti-Cruz, they are targeted towards an audience who feels similarly towards him, whether conservative or liberal.
The author claims that "one thing is certain: Mr. Trump cannot lose. Because he's already won. " He uses language such as "foolish" to describe those who expect Trump to lose. He goes even as far as to swear on several occasions throughout the piece, showcasing his emotional attachment to the topic in question.
He clearly enjoyed the campaign victory and the excitement of the race, but seems to be unhappy as president, and has reacted negatively to different opinions on issues since he took
Trump is a member of the Republican party, and is now the new president as of January 2017. He was elected president with a win from the electoral college, but not the popular vote. Some say that Trump has questionable beliefs and plans for the country, which is why there is some debate to the fact of whether or not he exhibits the true beliefs of the Republican party, as John McCain and John Kasich do. His widely known campaign slogan of, “Make America Great Again!” , is seen almost everywhere on shirts and hats, even on Trump’s own head.
The official stopped. "What's wrong?” (Pg. 8) Discussion: The cause of his mistake made a huge effect in the future that has changed who won the presidential election which will probably cause a lot of bad things to happen since someone else was supposed to win
Many people blamed the Electoral College. People said that the Electoral College had false numbers put into Donald Trump’s electoral votes. It was either the false numbers or the Electoral votes were counted wrong. Countless numbers of people asked for recounts because they declared that the Electoral College was “in favor for Donald Trump”. Citizens were also complaining that Donald Trump did not win the popular vote and Hillary Clinton did so she should have won the presidency.
Donald Trump uses 2 great language features that work well together. Donald Trump uses hyperbole and repetition. He uses hyperbole to exaggerate his speech and some of the things he is saying such as “we won everything”. What he has said here is hyperbole because he was saying he won Texas but he was not winning he lost the election he was just over exaggerating what he was saying so this is hyperbole.
The flow of ions and interaction of compounds all makeup everyday life. Whether it is enzyme production to regulate the body or the rotation of polarized light to determine if the drug becomes a morning sickness cure or the cause of deformities, everything can be broken into smaller components. Understanding these mechanisms and how to perform synthesis are what orientated me towards the path of pharmacology. Towards the end of my senior year, I was awarded a scholarship to Everett community college.
