One day Zeus had been wondering around and seen a beautiful goddess. She had a baby boy that Zeus never came to visit, Marcus grew mad and from then on he was a careless, mean boy. As an adult Marcus was asked by Hades to join him in tartarus Marcus accepted but he wanted to wait till his powers grew strong. So until then Hades gave him dark powers and Marcus grew wings. Marcus was excited with his powers so he decided to go out for a little fly, while flying he figured out that his wings can create strong winds.
The Odyssey, originally shared verbally by Homer, tells the story of Odysseus’ journey home around 800 B.C. His adventures play out over a vast setting, ranging all the way from Ithica to Troy. A couple main characters include Odysseus, king of Ithica; Athena, goddess of war and wisdom; Telemachus, son of Odysseus; and Penelope, Odysseus’ wife. Many other gods and goddesses make appearances in this poem as well. Throughout the poem, Odysseus displeases a great deal of gods.

Modern culture borrows a lot from ancient Greek culture, especially when it comes down to the Underworld. In many modern films and books the heroes have to communicate with the dead in order to advance in their mission, much like Odysseus’s journey into the underworld. Odysseus’s trip to the underworld his Katabasis, begins when he is instructed by Circe to talk to Tiresias in the underworld. “Well, Circe sets us a rather different course… down to the House of Death and the awesome one Persephone, there to consult the ghost of Tiresias, seer of Thebes” (Od. In the book the “House of Hades” by Rick Riordan we see lots of plot lines. These plot lines all help us see the struggles that these characters have to deal with and their motivations, some characters have multiple problems that they are dealing with. Specifically, one character that deals with lots of problems is Frank(son of Mars). One problem that Frank has to deal with is his father who is split between two personalities who are constantly arguing in his head.
