1. The theme of “the Veldt” is to not let technology control life. This is shown throughout the short story because it shows many times where technology has taken over people’s lives. For example, in the short story it says, “… this house which clothed and fed and rocked them to sleep and played and sang and was good to them” (Bradbury 1). By saying this, it shows that the family does not have to do anything themselves. The story “The Veldt” and the music video compare and contrast in many ways. The things that are similar and different are shown throughout the story and music video. This is wrote in the story and is shown in the music video when the kids are in the African Veldt. The next quote that shows a difference is when it says, “Mr. Hadley looked at his wife and they turned and looked back at the beasts…” (Bradbury 10). The parents where not mentioned in the music book and only the kids where shown but in the story the kids and the parents are shown. Another comparison that is shown in the story is when it says, “The vultures were dropping down the blazing sky” (Bradbury 10). The vultures are shown in the music video and in the short story and in both they are getting looked at. Overall, the story and the music video are very much alike but are different in many
