In the story, “The Veldt” By Ray Bradbury The children, Wendy and Peter, are to blame for their parent’s deaths because they don’t care about their parents. The veldt takes place in a future home and the kids have everything including a virtual reality room called the nursery and the kids have taken control of that room which cause the parents to lose control of their kids. The kids don’t care about their parents because Earlier in the story when the parents told the kids to go to bed there mouths dropped, and as a reader, we probably imaged them giving the parents dirty looks. This shows that the kids do not care about their parents. Then the George ,the dad says "Go to bed,Then the narrator describes the kids doing this "They opened their mouths. Also, another quote from the same scene is “You can't do that to the nursery, you can't!''This also shows that the kids care way more about the technology than their parents and lets not forget the parents gave them all of this stuff just because they wanted to make their kids happy So in conclusion this shows that that the kids are to blame because they don’t care about their parents and treated them treibally and cared way more about the nursery then their parents. They protected there tech and did not want their parents to mess with
