Captain Tory It was a cold December night in 1991. A light layer of fog covered the water. Tyler and his father, Captain Tory stood at the docks waiting for the boat to appear. This was Tyler’s escape. His plan to get away from the Wizard Hunters. Tyler, a teenage wizard was tired. He had been running for much too long. The Wizard Hunters had been after him ever since Tyler had been a magician in the school talent show. His act had been a little too real. He just wanted to get away. That was, according to the tickets the way to summon the boat. At first nothing happened. Tyler worried that the ghost boat was all a trick. Had the Wizard Hunters set them up? Was there going to be an ambush? Then all of a sudden a giant wave appeared. Tyler watched the water swell, and then out of nowhere, the ghost boat appeared. Tyler looked back at the town he had called home his whole life. He was going to miss Manport. He was going to miss his old life. Tyler was starting over. Then the boat’s gangplank was put down and Tyler started to board. Just as Tyler set down his bag, a roar came from the end of the dock. The Wizard Hunters, Tyler thought. Tyler raced forward to save his father. Tyler summoned all the power he could and managed to get the hunters off Captain Tory. Captain Tory still lay on the dock, unmoving. The hunters then lept at Tyler. Tyler was mad. He had wanted to leave all of this behind. In his rage he managed to knock a few hunters off the dock. With one woosh of his hand Tyler created a huge wave. “Don’t let him get away with this!” a hunter screamed. Two more hunters ran at Tyler. An icy blast shot from Tyler’s hands. Tyler soon found one hunter left. The hunter raced at Captain Tory. “Come here or your father might just fall of the dock.” The hunter retorted. Tyler slowly moved closer. The dock shifted and the hunter fell to the ground. Tyler used all the strength he had left to roll the hunter off the dock. Tyler raced to aid his father.
