My theme for this assessment is about death. I chose the death because the idea of death is displayed in all four texts. My text consist of ‘’American Beauty ‘’ directed by Sam Mendez, ‘’Death of a salesman ‘’ written my Arthur miller, ‘’Romeo and Juliet’’ directed my Baz Luhrman and lastly A ‘’Thousand Splendid Suns’’ written by Khaled Hosseini. We have embedded death in a negative connotation in our brains that death will always be bad. Like in Death of a salesman the main character Willy Lowman is a traveling salesman which he travels city to city via car. Willy flicks between the pass and the present because he is finding the present depressing because in Willys mind he is not successful travelling salesman.
