A lot of people in the world believe that if they had more money they would be overall happy people. But In the book Eager, by Helen Fox, talks about futuristic robots that cost a lot of money. Everyone that can afford a robot has one. Some believe that money is their only source of happiness. The rich people that we call technocrats are arrogant people that only care about their money and think money is everything. Poor people are genuine people who think their family and helping others are much more important than money. In Eager, Helen Fox demonstrates that money is not a source of happiness.
First, money is not a source of happiness. This is demonstrated by Marcia acting as if she only matters because of her wealth. For example, “Fleur tried to get free but her friend pulled her arm behind her back, and the harder she struggled the tighter

In the book, Marcia's family is very supportive and loving. For example, in the book Fleur says, “My mum and dad did their best. They decided that what really mattered in life was their family, their friends, and helping others.” (Fox, 67) Fleur's parents, Mr. and Mrs.Bell decided to not care so much about how much money they had. They thought family and being an overall good person was much more important. Mr. and Mrs. Bell have raised Fleur to be a genuinely good person. Fleur is still learning about money and the technocrats. When Marcia told Fleur about the technocrats getting all the petrol because they are rich, Fleur got very upset at first but once her mom talked to her about not needing money to be happy. Then that's when Fleur came to the conclusion that no matter how much money she has, family is much more important. This just showed how good of a person Fleur is even though she is still learning. Fleur's family doesn't need money to be happy as long as they have each
