Sut Jhally’s documentary Dreamworlds 3 focuses primarily on the concept of heterosexual relations in music videos, but how do things change, or stay the same, when applied to a homosexual music video? By analyzing the music video titled “Lost on You” by female artist LP, it is apparent that Sut Jhally’s themes techniques of storytelling and constructing femininity hold ground even in homosexual music videos. The visuals, meaning the people and setting, as well as the roles being played lead to the conclusion that masculine and feminine stereotypes persist no matter how different media might be. The main theme being utilized is Jhally’s techniques of storytelling.
Bitch Bad Analysis Lupe Fiasco’s “Bitch Bad” directed by Gil Green, is conceptualized around how the perception from both males and females of females is impacted by mainstream rap in the modern hip-hop world. Fiasco develops this by telling stories in different scenes of the video and explains them out in the lyrics. Lupe Fiasco took an objectified approach to several sensitive issues and tried to rectify them by illustrating the detrimental messages delivered in media as an ethical appeal to his audience. In the chapter, Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong, the reader can see the gender lense throughout the chapter. In the chapter gender stereotypes can be seen, both being reinforced and being undermined. When there is a female involved in any given case, the main thing people tend to focus on is the girls looks. One major gender stereotype is, the way a female dresses.

Grease, a very well-known and largely popular musical with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as the main characters. It’s a Romance about how Danny (John) and Sandy (Olivia) meet over the summer and fall in love, but when summer is over they find out they go to the same school and are in very different social cliques. The rest of the movie is how Sandy changes herself to stay with Danny. While it is a very popular movie, it also has many issues in how it portrays stereotypes of gender and sexualization and a lot of the sexiest generalization and issues can be found in the lyrics of the songs. First off is how the actors are dressed and how there looks are portrayed.
Lorde examines how pornography has disabled women’s connection to their inner erotic and sexuality, and describes pornography as a tool abused by men to condition women to make sex about what solely men want from it. This essay examines female sexuality, female erogenous-ness, and how invaluable it is for women to be in touch with their sensual erotic feelings and the power it can bring to them. Lorde explains how men have disabled an aspect of womanhood with pornography and how, “. . . pornography is a direct denial of the power of the erotic, for it represents the suppression of true feeling. Pornography emphasizes sensation without feeling” (pg 54).
Adults should be authorized to carry a concealed handgun around in public areas. For instance, concealed handguns will allow people who can’t call for help protect themselves in times of need and will help stop a public shooting spree. This means that if an adult is carrying a concealed handgun and can’t call for help, they can defend themselves with their handgun. Adults can also stop shooting sprees with their gun by shooting the threat in the situation. Furthermore, concealed handguns will protect people who don’t always rely on police forces for their protection.

Hip Hop was a release and it was a way in which people could reclaim their energy against racism and discrimination. Unfortunately through the rise of Hip Hop, animosity rose as well. Both groups were given a math test, and the women in swimsuits scored significantly lower on their test, which would suggest a strong correlation between self objectification and academic performance (Fredrickson, 276-280). Sexualization of young girls is taking place due to the posing in swimsuits and dresses, doing their hair, and wearing makeup seductively. During the talent/routine portion, the contestants walk the stage, posing and twirling for the judge 's sake. The different poses that the girls are showed are mostly sexual. These young girls are learning how to communicate using their hips. On one of today 's watched showes, Toddlers and Tiaras, there was an episode in which a little 3 year old girl was portrayed as the prostitute played by Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman.”
