In the novel Fahrenheit 451, a story set in a futuristic dystopian setting where books are illegal and anybody possessing one will have their house burned with the books along with anything inside the house. Author Ray Bradbury uses the topic of technological advancements to further explain the theme technological advancements to warn the audience of the potential dangers of artificial intelligence and changes in (car speed, education, fireproofing) regulations. In the book, the main character Montag meets a teenage girl Clarisse McClellan, and she describes the world her uncle always talked about. That fireman used to prevent fires. This stirs Montag's thoughts on truth and lies which causes him to constantly steal books and hide them up in his ventilator. Halfway through the first section, he finds out Clarisse is dead making him feel depressed and to act sluggish. Later, the firemen are called to a house with books, since it’s their job to burn the house with the books and in this case the people in the house. The owner of the house denied any attempts to separate her from her books. That left no choice but to burn her along with her belongings. The hound won every time, then after each round, he would go back into its kennel “to die as if a switch had been turned”. After the hound went back into its kennel Montag touched the muzzle the hound growled as if it knew something about Montag no one else new, except the hound.
