One theme from Rikki Tikki Tavi would be courage. Rikki has to fight two cobras, Nag and Nagaina, to protect his garden and Teddy. He is frightened of them because they are stronger and bigger than he is, but he overcomes his fear and fights them anyway. "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" is a short story in The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling about the adventures of a valiant young mongoose. One theme from Rikki Tikki Tavi would be courage.
The theme off the story is successes of doing right and tragedy of doing wrong. The theme is oblivious after reading through the book. Wes Moore wrote in the introduction “our destinies can be determined by a single stumble down the wrong path, or a tentative step down the right one.” I believe this is what he is trying to teach us about humanity through his work. The book show both sides of humanity the dark side and when its at it best.

Every character in the book did things that I don't think I could have done if I was in there shoes. The level of bravery Sylv and Autumn shoed in the auditorium with the shooter was amazing.

Rationale For this literature unit, for the novel The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien I will write a story about juniors similar to the way O’Brien writes about the Vietnam War in the first chapter. I will attempt to show many audiences including adults, younger peers, and family members high school through the eyes of a junior. This story will showcase emotional and physical concepts that juniors have to “carry” throughout school. In “ A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier,” written by Ishmael Beah, Ishmael recalls moments in his life where he experienced servere pain, felt distress and depression. The book expresses many themes including: “war is terrible” and “there is always love and friendship”. Ishmael stuggled to gain back his childhood, which was now filled with war memories, in hopes of starting a new life away from the war. Ishmael thought to himself “This was one of the consequences of the civil war. People stopped trusting each other, and every stranger became an enemy”(37).
The Hardship of a Child Soldier Bang! Bang! “At that instant several gunshots, which sounded like thunder striking the tin-roofed houses, took over town. The sound of guns was so terrifying it confused everyone” (Beah 23).
Ishmael Beah, recalls his time as an orphaned child soldier, in Sierra leone, in his memoir A long way gone. Amongst those who were moved by the memorable piece of literature, there are those who quarrel with the idea that it is a completely factual account of the events that took place in Sierra Leone and the details regarding the physical wounds he obtained. While some of the claims made against its accuracy made are valid, It does not diminish the merit of the memoir. Beah’s escapade as a child soldier, his rehabilitation and the universal themes contribute to the immense worth of the novel, and allow the reader to walk away enlightened.
Through a descriptive use of syntax and tone, Hawthorne's theme easily comes across to its readers. His theme is more factual. He develops his theme through scenes, tone, and dialogue, while Edwards develops his theme strictly through his speech. Since Hawthorne's theme is developed through various ways, it is easy to draw more inferences and ideas from his story. Hawthorne’s theme is that sin stays with someone until death.
