Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson is a thought-provoking, awe-inspiring novel. The novel brings many pop-culture torments and everyday struggles to light. The novel creates multiple discussion points based on character relationships and point-of-views. Repaying debts, justice, friendship, charity, contests, the mixing of classes and good versus evil are important themes in A Gest of Robyn Hode. A lot of debts are repaid in A Gest of Robyn Hood, like the one the knight at the beginning of the story has to pay back to Saint Mary’s Abbey. At first, he is unable but willing to pay back, but when Robyn lends him money, he does pay the abbey. Later on, he has to pay Robyn back and does this generously, by not only giving him the required money, but crafting him nice bows and arrows as well.
Nagaina outruns Rikki Tikki because “...When a cobra runs for her life she goes like a whiplash across a horse’s neck…”(26). Rikki Tikki still goes chasing after her. Darzee’s wife tries to stop Nagaina but it’s no use. Nagaina goes like an arrow down the path towards her snake hole.
Fear is a theme that is found throughout the entire book. In the beginning one of the first signs of fear among the boys is seen when a littlun brings up the idea of a beast on the island. Though the boys laugh it off, fear of the unknown is beginning to settle in as the author states, “Either the wandering breezes or perhaps the decline of the sun allowed a little coolness to lie under the trees. The boys felt it and stirred restlessly.”(36) Even though there is no evidence to support the idea of a beast, simply the fear of a beast or something unknown to them on the island causes them to become scared.
Nag is a Cobra in ¨Rikki-Tikki-Tavi¨ by Rudyard Kipling. Nag rules the garden in terror with his wife Nagaina. When Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, a young mongoose, comes to the garden he tries to stop Rikki by killing him. In these next few paragraphs I will prove without a doubt that Nag is sly, logical, and harsh. First, Nag shows he is quite sly when he meets Rikki-Tikki-Tavi.
As a kid just about everything is confusing, life tricks you and leaves you feeling hopeless and constantly wishing to just be older and grow up. In the 1930’s Scout Finch was seen as a strange but powerful little girl. She was a strong lawyers daughter and enjoyed playing with her brother. However, when Jem became older and started growing up Scout was jealous and wished she could. She then started wishing to be in adult conversations and tried her best to lose her innocence.
Why I think that makes her dangerous, is because she won’t give attacking somebody until she has accomplished her goal. ”Now I have Nagaina to settle with, and she will be worse, than five nags, and there will be no knowing when the eggs she spoke of will hatch. Goodness I must go and see Darzee” ,he said. In the story Nag is most most the characters call Nag one of the worst snakes, so if Rikki-Tikki say she will be worse than five Nags that makes her very dangerous.
Being on the island everyone is contsantly faced with the fear of the unknown the younger boys need someone to protect them from the fears on the island. Although nothing manages to scare the boys as much as the beastie does. When a little boy with a mullberry birthmark informs everyone that he has seen a beastie. The older boys emitiatly belive its his imagination but even later in the novel the boys start to question the exsitance of the beast. After the killing of simion, jack is belives ut was simon disguised as the beast, and that the beast is not dead.
