“You 're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.” said Theodor Seuss Geisel. Dr. Seuss writes wacky and wild because his books attract people of all ages, even if people are reading to themselves or to other people. He is best known for “The Cat in The Hat”. After taking a look at the life and work of Theodor Seuss Geisel, it is apparent that this writer deserves recognition as a profound American author.
Theodor Geisel had a normal life. He was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts.[2] His father and grandfather were brewmasters in Springfield.[1] His mother Henrietta Seuss Geisel, often she sang her children to sleep by “chanting” rhymes remembered from her youth.[1] His father and mother were very loving parents. When Gesiel and his friends had been caught drinking in his dorm room one night, in Violation of the prohibition law, he’d had been kicked off the magazine staff but continued to write under an alias named Seuss.[2] Which is the smartest thing to do.
Seuss was influenced by many people but most of all his mother. had chanted Rhymes To him as he was sleeping.[3] Upon returning to America, Geisel decided to pursue cartooning full time.[1]
This great american author has made a lot of good children 's books too. Geisel Is most famous book is The Cat in the Hat. His first book was And to think That I Saw it on Mulbery Street and had been rejected 27 times in 1937.[1] Which is a lot.
