I referred to unit 7’s discussion post where you outlined your essay. So far your research has proven to make for an interesting essay. I’m sorry I did not find a persuasive thesis statement in Unit 8 though, meaning I’m not convinced that there should be a policy change. I know you stated this is a working thesis statement which was not included in unit 8’s post. If you don’t mind, I would like to give some guidance.

Firstly I want to discuss the differences between this English college-level course as opposed to taking English 12 at my high school. One example is all 200 English courses offered through Mendocino college, all students are required to enroll in a writing lab. Position statement: For college Should I or should I not, that is the decision we all encounter when we finally reach high school. Now, there are many factors that will affect a person’s life. The most important of these factors is whether or not one has a college degree. Through out this essay I will discuss why I believe that it would be advantageous for students to continue their education in college. The art of argument persuasion I’ve learned in this course is so beneficial for my marketing major. Other than that, it made me develop the essay writing skills necessary for success in my studies at the university level. This English course also taught me how powerful written words can be, and how the delivery of the tone is important for the reader. The tone of a narrative is different than the tone of a research, where the difference makes the paper. Also, the power in written words tells how much it is crucial to mankind.
