Many people debate over who the greatest inventor is. There have been many great inventors over the years such as Alexander Graham Bell who is known for the telephone, Nikola Tesla who is known for the tesla coil, and Isaac Newton known for newtonian mechanics. Even dating back before years were years like Archimedes. But most of the it boils down to two people, the father of the light bulb, Thomas Edison, or the father of the Franklin Stove, Benjamin Franklin. Little Thomas Edison was a persistent child. He was born into a middle class family in the port of Milan, Ohio then to Odessa, Russia which was one of the largest wheat shipping center in the world. In 1854 his family moved to a large city of port Huron, Michigan which was more economically advanced than both Milan and Odessa
Thomas Edison loved to read books so much that he would read books in stacks back to back. By the age of 12 Thomas Edison started and finished Gibbons Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire, Sears History of the World, Burton’s Anatomy of Melancholy, and even the whole World dictionary of Science. Thomas Edison is credited for many inventions including the Phonograph which is basically a modern day recorder and was the first great invention by Edison. The first recorded message was, funny enough, “Mary had a little lamb”. He also invented the lightbulb and most known for this invention because of the different ways it can be used. But he actually didnt really invent it it was more of a refurbish because lightbulbs before were short-lived, expensive, and unreliable. Another invention was his motion picture idea which was inspired by study of motion by Muybridge. He worked with W. K. L. Dickson for this
