Benjamin Bannecker, a son of former slaves and educated scholar, angered about the mistreatment of slaves wrote a letter to the author of the Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson. He assumes a knowledgeable and matter-of fact persona in order to challenge Jefferson’s loyalty Christian faith and urge him to abolish/ condemn slavery. Hypocrisy is one of the worst moral crimes someone can commit. Benjamin Banneker's letter to Thomas Jefferson explains that he has committed this crime. He has gone back on his morale of everyone having unalienable rights by letting slavery continue to happen, and Banneker believes he is the prime contender in allowing this crime to happen and that he should be the start and make the move to stop slavery. Banneker explains this to Jefferson in such a way that the letter is both respectful and thoughtful while also being rude due to the use of how he phrases his sentences, that his argument can not be questioned because of his use of ‘Sir’ to show his respect, and his ardent choice of words which are all collectively used to explain how Jefferson is being hypocritical and show him why he should fix this.

Alexander Hamilton is the man with his face on the ten dollar bill, but people know little else about him other than that. He is a Founding Father who receives very little acknowledgement for his work in shaping our country. He was often controversial and contradictory, and was one of the very few Founding Fathers to suggest a monarchial style for America’s newly birthed government. His foresight would become invaluable to our country, as his forward way of thinking depicts American culture in its modern state, perhaps more so than any other Founding Father had in mind. He was as controversial in death as he was in life, dying in a duel to Aaron Burr; the only Founding Father to die in such a fashion.
“Franklin was born in Boston on January 17, 1706 (January 6, 1705, in the old style calendar) of very humble origins, origins that always struck Franklin himself as poor. ”(Wood,17) He proved throughout his life that he was quite the renaissance man, showing expertise in many professions and fields from Author to Inventor. Franklin proved time and time again that he was intellectually capable of doing pretty much anything. Franklin's status of being a founding father has proven how much of a staple he was in finding the United States of America.
Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17, 1706 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was one of twenty-seven children. Franklin’s father, Josiah Franklin, had seventeen children with his first wife and ten children with his second wife. The founding fathers idea for a great government was to distribute powers into branches that can also be balance and check by each other, which will also help them make the best decisions for their people. About two years ago, Obama put into place an executive action which protected about four million illegal immigrants from deportation. Since we were not able to deport all eleven million immigrants the Obama administration chose to help those that deserved to be here. They decided that the people that fell into that category were living in United States for several years, had not committed crimes and who have families here to take care of. It didn’t give anyone official legal status nor put them on the path to citizenship, because only congress can do that.
