3 experiences In this assignment, I will be explaining about three experiences and with a brief description of how I plan to integrate each with my overall themes. My rural home stay was an amazing experience yet challenging experience for me. It demonstrated humility to me in a whole new way. My rural homestay consisted of my two tatas and their many grandchildren. My two tatas knew English well, however most of their grandchildren knew only a few words in English. Even though it was a challenge to communicate, it did not stop me from spending time with the grandchildren. One night we were dancing around, listening to music, and laughing and I started to speak in English however as a result, we were not able to understand each other. Even though we were not able to communicate we were still able to connect with each other. I believe it was a beautiful experience of two people who did not speak the same language but were still able to understand each other in a different aspect. This experience showed me to have humility even though it was challenge of communicating and not understanding each other. I plan to integrate this in my paper to answer the question of How has your Uganda experience confirmed or challenged your choice? This experience makes me want to hold onto the lessons I have learned into the future because it confirms the compassion I have with working children in my future career regardless of language
