Timmy is an eight-year-old boy who lives with his mother, stepfather, and four-year-old half-brother. Timmy really likes school, but he has some difficulties. He gets into a good deal of trouble and is accused of being inattentive and disruptive in class. Many people also say that Timmy lies a lot. One day, Timmy tells his teacher and guidance counselor that his stepfather has private talks with him and reveals that these talks include the stepfather putting his penis in Timmy’s little mouth and in his rectum. Timmy’s stepfather also plays with his testicles under the guise of checking him for “hard spots.” Timmy tells his teacher that he tried to tell his mother, but she did not believe him. The school reports this to both DSS and law enforcement, and within twenty-four hours law enforcement comes to Timmy’s house to begin their investigation by doing a child welfare check. The mother and stepfather are obviously shocked by their visit but proceed to let them investigate. The mother admits that Timmy lies a lot and insists that there is no way that her husband would do that to her children. While checking out the house, officers find some hidden things in Timmy’s room that are extremely suspicious and out of place in a child’s room. The officers then decide that the stepfather must be removed from the house during their investigation.
