Sumer, as I have learned in my class was the oldest civilization known to mankind which also developed the first writing system, Cuneiform which was wedge writing and developed around 3500 B.C.E. They also discovered the calendar as well as agriculture. The Sumerians also had a religion and worshiped many gods such as AN, KI, UTU and NINHURSUG.
As I approached my senior year of college, my relationship with Hannah had grown into something amazing. I’m currently taking a welding class in High School and I have already achieved a couple of certs. This year i’m entering the TSA competition hoping to win district and maybe even be a state champion. The reasons why I would like to attend Tulsa Welding School is to further my education on welding and it’s also a small sized school located close to home. Tulsa Welding School is only specific for welding and pipefitting and doesn’t have other courses, so you can focus only on what you are really there for.
The five weeks I spent at Chief Petty Officer Academy (CPOA) have been very beneficial for me. I reviewed many publications which placed the Coast Guard’s future focus into prospective and the curriculum kept my interest the entire time. The three classes that resonated with me the most were Facilitative Leadership, Diversity & Leadership, and Coaching & Counseling because they brought out a deeper understanding of tools I was missing in my leadership style. I know by refining these leadership techniques, I will become a better leader for my unit and The United States Coast Guard. The first leadership class that resonated with me was facilitative leadership.
