Eyes of the Child The theme Eyes of the Child was shown in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird through Scout and her misunderstanding of snow . The quote one page 76 “The world’s endin’, Atticus please do something--!” which was said by Scout. This shows that she didn’t know what snow was and took it to an extreme. Most adults even though haven’t seen snow still were educated enough about it to know it was nothing. The children were also easily convinced by Mr. Avery that the cold weather that they were experiencing was because of their bad behavior over the summer.
