The children's perception of their father changes a lot.
I think that the children’s perception of their dad changes because at first they think that their father was a boring old man. They think that he was boring because he never did anything interesting. He didn’t have an interesting job as well, so his kids think that he is just innocent. “Atticus was never too tired to play keep-away, but when Jem wanted to tackle him Atticus would say, “I’m too old for that, son.” Our father didn’t do anything.” This quote shows how Atticus’s kids think that he is a lazy old man, but realistically their father just didn’t want them to see the things that could hurt them. I think that is why the kids think that he is boring because they never see the

This shows how his kids were showed what they believed their dad to be boring. In The Truman Show Truman is living in this world of perfect, and it shows that the world can be a bad place. I think that The Truman show and the kids of Atticus are very similar. I think that they are similar because Atticus tries to protect the kids from the violent tendency’s of the world. Atticus tried his hardest to hide it from them but the kids eventually found out about everything bad. The kids can also be compared to Twelve Angry Men. The reason I think that they can be compared is because in Twelve Angry Men the jurors don’t try to figure out if the kid is innocent until one juror wanted to try to figure out if he was innocent. Because of that one juror the kid was found not guilty. They can be compared because the kids view of their father changed very quickly, just like in Twelve Angry Men when one juror changed everyone’s opinions. “Hush, Heck,” said Atticus, “let’s go back to town.” This quote shows how Atticus didn’t want Mr. Tate to tell Atticus’s kids about it.
In conclusion, the world is a bad place. People like Atticus try to protect His kids from the world. Yes, I do think that the children’s perception of their father changed very quickly. It changed very quickly because they saw that their father wasn’t the boring old man they once thought him to be. This excerpt from To Kill a Mockingbird can also be compared to The Truman show, and Twelve Angry Men, they can be compared to one another because of how the perception
