“There it is!” Holmes shouts, pointing at a vicious, unearthly creature standing only a few paces from Sir Henry. “It’s the horrendous hound!” I tremble, surprised and afraid of the monstrosity in front of us. “Help, someone, please help me!” Sir Henry’s blood curdling screams tremble the earth, only making the hound more and more bloodthirsty. “Don’t move, Henry. You will only make the hound more violent.” Holmes pulls out his gun, trying to get closer to the hound without startling him. I follow, attempting to mirror Holmes’ action but horribly botching it. “Watson, stop! You’re going to scare the beast,” Holmes whispers. I nod my head at him slowly, fidgeting with my gun, making an effort to not look terrified. “On the count of three, we will take the creature by surprise and shoot him to save Sir Henry. One...two….three! Now, Watson!” The sounds of the shots of our guns are heard by the hound. He looks up quickly, but not in enough time to move out of the way. The bullets soar into the foul beast, causing him to cry out one last spine-chilling howl before he completely collapses. Holmes creeps over to the hound until he’s inches away from the beast’s snout. “Well, it looks like the despicable beast is dead. She explains about the hound set to kill Charles and Henry. She also tells us about how she and Stapleton put the markers in the ground so it would be easier to cross.She explains how she wrote the note and why she told me the warning.We then explain that Stapleton and the hound are dead. After the explanation, we walk back to Baskerville Hall. We bid her farewell and check on Sir Henry. He is unnerved and very frazzled. We try to calm him down the best we can then say good night. Everything is good now. We don’t have to worry anymore. Sir Henry is safe, and the hound is dead. The world is right for just a little
