Julius Caesar was a hero, who was beloved by many. He had many accomplishments, but he also had many enemies. He helped Rome in many ways and that is why he is a hero. Unlike the other two members of the first triumvirate, Julius Caesar did not come from a wealthy family. Julius Caesar’s family had money, but he was not wealthy like Pompey and Crassus. He helped the Plebeians, the regular and lower class citizens of Rome. For this he was beloved by them. Some people consider him a hero, while others consider him a villain. Those who consider him a villain have good reason to, because when Julius Caesar declared himself dictator for life they thought he may try to become king. They believed he sought glory for himself at the expense of the republic.
