Tobias Eaton is a character from Veronica Roth’s Divergent trilogy. Although Tris (Tobias’ girlfriend) is the main character, Tobias is still very beneficial to the story. Although most fan see him as boring or scary, He has a sad and interesting story to tell.
Young Tobias lived in the Abnegation Sector. His people were selfless. Some other of the factions are Candor (the honest), Erudite (the smart ones), Dauntless (the brave), and Amity ( the kind). Not everyone in Abnegation was selfless. For example, Tobias’ father, Marcus. Marcus was the leader of Abnegation. He staged kindness. Everyone loved him. He kept these friends through the series. And until these friends died. They were Zeke, Shauna, and Uriah. Zeke and Shauna were in Four’s initiation class. Uriah, was Zeke’s brother. Eric, however, was Tobias’ enemy. He was an Erudite transfer. They were at each other's throats throughout initiation and the course of the series. The number one spot in ination was between the two of them. At the end, Tobias was number one. Eric was in a close second. Since Tobias was first ranked, the Dauntless lottery gave him an apartment. Max, the leader of Dauntless, gave Tobias a leadership position. Eric was also offered a position. Tobias went to one day of training, and declined the offer. He was afraid of encountering Marcus. They left Chicago to get away from Evelyn. She was fighting everyone. She too want ultimate control. When they got to outside of the fence, they discovered the Bureau of genetic Welfare (“ The Bureau” for short). These people find Divergents and do experiments. Tobias, who thought he was a divergent, realized he was not. He was “damaged”. Tobias was furious. His whole life he had been normal, and now he was “ Damaged”.
