I am going to compare Tom and Till, for their murders and what had happen to them and the same reasons. They were both killed in the south after the civil war. They were also black. Tom was killed because they thought they he had raped they white women.
Homicide: the deliberate and unlawful killing of one person by another person. To you does this word fit in the events that have happened. It was obvious Tom my client was not trying to deliberately kill his little brother, Doodle. Tom cannot be legally convicted of a crime he allegedly committed. It may seem like he's guilty with all fingers pointed at him for the death of Doodle, but allow me to elaborate on how my client is indeed innocent.
Throughout ‘The Great Gatsby” Tom Buchanan and George Wilson were represented as complete opposite personalities but with a closer look they are more alike than they are first introduced and they represent a deeper message describing the gender roles for the time. Tom and Wilson are alike on many factors despite their different standards of living, from each of them being cuckold and abusing their wives and their attitude towards their women. Tom Buchanan and George Wilson are both Cuckold from Georges wife Myrtle being with Tom on the trip to New York to the hotel with Nick, And Toms wife Daisy sneaking over to Gatsby’s for a romantic rendezvous behind Toms back. Tom upon finding out is quick to pick a fight with Gatsby and forces the group to travel into New York, Gatsby and Daisy drive in Tom's car, while Nick, Jordan, and Tom drive in Gatsby's. On the way, Tom furiously tells Nick that Gatsby is no Oxford man.
In the Great Gatsby Movie, the alteration of the scene where Wilson suspects Gatsby highlights how Tom knew the result of his actions which ultimately changes Tom’s interpreted intentions within the book. Tom confessing Gatsby was the owner of the car led to the falling action in the novel which was the killing of Gatsby committed by Wilson. After the death of Myrtle, Wilson was mourning in his garage and when Michaelis mentions the car which hit her was a yellow custom car, Wilson realizes the car which hit Myrtle is the same car he saw Tom driving in when he needed gas. In an attempt to calm Wilson, Tom argues the yellow car wasn’t his
“I wanted a brother. But Mama, crying, told me that even if William Armstrong lived, he would never do these things with me. He might not, she sobbed, even be “all there.” He might as long as he lived, lie on the rubber sheet in the center of the bed in the front bedroom where the white marquisette curtains billowed out in the afternoon sea breeze, rustling like palmetto fronds” (Hurst 1). In this story William Armstrong (Doodle) is a little kid who has heart problems.
Tom becomes at risk of losing his relationship, even though from the start he was the careless one who became involved in many affairs. After the men learn about their wives’ affairs, they take action to keep their relationships in tact. Tom confronts and challenges Daisy about her relationship, while George abuses Myrtle and plans to take her away. Their plans to regain their wives’ loyalty backfires, however, and instead they damage their relationships even more. Neither of the men are really involved in their marriages until their relations with their women are on the brink of doom.
In the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee wrote about a family of three. Atticus, a widow husband, raises his children, Jem and Scout, along with a maid named Calpurnia. The book takes place in Maycomb, Alabama during the Great Depression. Throughout the book, the reader is presented with racism which is something that Jem and Scout did not understand in the beginning. A big, specific event in the book was Tom Robinson’s case.
Tom doesn’t really see anything wrong with his actions and how he hurts Daisy either. He cares more about his status, money, and sexual desires. He

Tom Buchanan is Fitzgerald’s masterpiece of creating a character who portrays the life, and characteristics as an alpha male. Through the vision of character’s surrounding Tom we began to see how his loftier masculinity characterizes him in the story. I begin with a quote from Tom’s wife Daisy that embodies the intimidating masculine characteristics of Tom, “I know you didn’t mean to, but you did do it. That’s what I get for marrying a brute of a man, a great, big, hulking physical specimen of a-----” (Fitzgerald 12). In this quote from Daisy we view a list of characteristics that are associated with Tom’s masculinity.
In F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby, there are many important characters, some alike and some different. Two characters who are both different and alike at the same time are Tom Buchanan and George Wilson. Fitzgerald gives the reader a lot of information about how Tom and George are very different from each other. One can interpret many different things that Fitzgerald may be trying to convey about the nature of men. Based on how he portrays Tom and George’s actions it helps to show the true nature of men.
Even if the relationship that Daisy and Tom had was not the best they still had gone through alot of life challenges and even had a kid
Unfortunately, because of Tom being genuinely unaware of the fact that Jim just so happens to be engaged, Jim and Laura do not end up becoming a couple. As a result of this, tension arises between Amanda and Tom, causing Tom to leave the household. Finally, if Laura were not to be in the play, Tom would not feel guilt like he does in the end: “Oh, Laura, Laura, I tried to leave you behind me, but I am more faithful than I intended to be!” (Williams 97). Overall, both Tom and Amanda have a desire to help Laura, which develops the plot heavily due to their attempts to help her.
The novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is about how the interactions between money and love have major effects on the relationships between Tom, Daisy, and Gatsby. The relationship between Tom and Daisy is built more on money rather than love, however, there is little bits of love. Daisy marries Tom because of his wealth, but throughout their relationship she does, fall in love with Tom at least once. Also, Tom uses his money to basically buy Daisy’s love showing that he wants to have love in his life. The relationship between Gatsby and Daisy is also built on wealth, but it also involves love, alike the relationship of Tom and Daisy.
