Into the Wild What would the majority of the population do if the opportunity came up to go into the wild? Chris McCandless not telling anyone where he was going and without necessary supplies was stupid for going into the Alaskan wild. Chris McCandless did not want anyone to know where he was going. The narrator stated, “He announced at his graduation party that he was going away for a while but didn’t say where he was going” (20/20 Documentary). Chris McCandless stated he was going away for a while, however he didn’t tell his parents or his sister where he was going to be or how long he will be gone.
I would imagine that the idea of an independent American was not an easy idea for many to stand by. Many would have probably thought that it was an effort that was not worth the risks, that fighting the kingdom of Britain would bring too heavy a cost. But of course, there were those with enough courage to speak openly about their feelings on their country 's situation. Patrick Henry seemed like a man that was willing to do whatever it took to gain independence. Henry’s letter made me proud to be an American, and to know that these men and women were coming together to fight for a better future.

I'm going to be talking about John Colter and Tom Murphy's disadvantages and advantages when they were out exploring. And how hard it must have been on both of them to go out in the freezing cold, by themselves. They had to take care of themselves. It was a cold night up in Yellow Stone, when John Colter was walking around out there all by himself in the freezing cold, he even had to build his own shelter which was probably hard, so when John Colter finally had found such a good spot to put his shelter. He started building it he had a tarp
Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. Many would believe that Chris McCandless went into the wild to purposely kill himself; however, I myself believe that McCandless did not do it purposely.
Also, they had packed many things that were similar to each others back-packs. They both got to take journeys through the now famous Yellowstone National Park. John and Tom also got to see what it was like to spend a time out in nature. John and Tom were also very different

But it doesn 't just happen overnight. For most like Tom Pauly it means giving up most of every summer, and just about every other day of the year.
Between the quote on Ms. Conley’s bulletin board, what Mr. Salter said, and what Tim said, Aiden has a lot to think about. “What should I do? What club should I join?” Aiden asked himself. He looked at the pros and cons.

Thaddeus Mason Pope of the Health Law Institute of Hamline University has debated that it can be done fairly if certain laws are put in place to prevent any kind of incidents or mishaps. He alluded to Oregon, which enacted the Oregon Death with Dignity Act and put it into motion without any mistakes. This, if it were to hold true everywhere it was enacted, would call to question the counter argument that the process can be accessed by people who want to die without being truly near death. Pope said, “in significant part, this is due to many safeguards in Oregon’s law, which only allows participation by defined categories of patients.”
Jimmy Smith grabs for the Coke zero sugar and the Doritos reduced fat chips thinking that they are a good option. After that Jimmy sits down on his Superhero Bob blanket and watches The Galaxy Rangers. You may think that Jimmy Smith is a couch potato but really he is just another victim of advertising across the nation. Companies are becoming savage monsters tearing through our children's future just to get money by putting up advertisements; advertisements are at school, on buses, in the stores, and on television. There are huge problems related to juveniles viewing advertisements almost the whole day such as, youth are getting more and more health problems because of advertisers, kids and families are spending so much money for fundraisers to get cheap toys and they do not have money for college, plus young children are losing imagination and interest in games and outdoor
March 2005, I sat in the passenger seat of my trailblazer staring out the window, trying not to look at my husband, Pedro. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I recalled the words he just said to me. I tried to hold in my emotions so he would not think that my faith has been weakened. I knew God had not put this on our family, but I still had questions and I still wanted answers. The diagnosis changed my world and how I see it.
What would you do if you were faced with the terrifying question of disobeying your aunt or whitewashing the fence and having your aunt be pleased with you, but you would miss the opportunity to play with your friends. Tom Sawyer had to make that very decision for himself in this book. One day, Tom Sawyer got in trouble with his aunt for skipping school and was told to whitewash her fence. While whitewashing, all the school kids were playing games. This made Tom Sawyer upset and irritated.
Hellen Keller overcame her disabilities to become a great author and a lead example to all people with disabilities to show that nothing is impossible. Having no way to communicate or see my surroundings is impossible to imagine and is a great obstacle to overcome especially more than 100 years ago. I would imagine that my life would be completely different with two major disabilities such as Hellen Keller and would be very difficult without a great teacher like Anne Sullivan. I would feel trapped if I were to lose my ability to use language later in life and would not know what to do. I would not be able to talk, see, read or write and that leaves me with no form of communication.
