Author: Maddie Cross Tom Robinson was a Black defendant. He was accused of raping Mayella Ewell. Which was not true, but since Tom was black they suddenly suspected he did it. Atticus Finch was an amazing lawyer that believed everyone has the right to give their side of the story. He had a lot of not very nice words to say because he was defending a black man. Mr. Ewell was the one that filed the complaint that Mr. Robinson had raped his daughter. The true story has been hidden until the day of trial. Mr. Ewell caught his daughter kissing Mr. Robinson, and he had came and beat her. Mr. Ewell decided to take it over and beyond and get the court involved. Atticus being the amazing lawyer as he is, takes over
