A cool breeze blew across the shooting range, making the paper target sway. The target’s head had been riddled with holes from the day’s training. A gunshot rang out and another hole appeared in the head of the target. Tom Stryker reloaded his weapon and put it back on the rack, finished with training. Then, he changed into some more formal clothing and walked through the Mantis headquarters, toward the office of General Daniel Eiling. Almost everybody recognized Stryker as the legendary hero that had single-handedly rescued a group of hostages from a particularly dangerous terrorist group. “Well, it looks like it’s time for you to die, Jameson. You have been a thorn in my side for quite some time, but no longer. Any last words?” Eiling asked. “Damn you. You will never get away with this,” Jameson said, staring coldly at Eiling. “Oh really? Who’s going to stop me?” asked Eiling with a smirk on his face. “I will,” a voice said. Then Eiling felt something hit him in the chest hard. He looked down and saw a bullet hole.
