After viewing the struggling lives of Argentina, Blake Mycoskie created the TOMS company in order to provide kids with a pair of shoes and also to give back to communities and individuals in need. He established a basis of providing kids with various pair of shoes who are less lucky to even have shoes on their feet. TOMS now works with 100 charitable partners in over 700 countries worldwide and has an influence on more than 35 million individuals. The goal of the operation changed the way we talk about our health issues, education, and profitable opportunities for individuals in societies around the world. Giving back to charitable communities is the foundation of TOMS and the operation specifies the trust of refining people’s lives through commercial business. The second reason involves some physical conditions. Children can contract a disease from not wearing shoes. TOMS shoes business model consists of two parts. The company manages the overall operations. Another organization, Friends of TOMS, manages volunteer activities and support charity donations through their business model, “One for One”. The model is simple: every pair that sells, another pair will be given to a child in need.
