As a witness to The Boston Massacre as a Patriot as an English citizen, I believe that the British Soldiers are unstable to protect us if they will kill us. The acts that lead up to the killing of five patriots were downgrading us. After are Victory in the French and Indian War we became in debt. The British officials decided to make laws such as Writs of Assistance, Sugar Act, Quartering Act, Stamp Act and the Proclamation of 1763 and more were soon made. This just anger us so a boycott was made called The Sons of Liberty the leader was Samuel Adams.

The Townshend Acts, a law that required the colonists to pay taxes when they buy tea, paper, glass. During the incident, a group of British soldiers killed five American colonists by opened fire. On the evening of March 5th, 1770 on the cold streets of Boston, a group of British soldiers gunned down a crowd gathered in protest. What started as a group of young men harassing a guard would quickly escalate into what would later be referred to as the Boston Massacre as well as serve as fuel for the growing anger of the colonists towards Britain. This paper will analyze two accounts of this event. One is of a civilian observer by the name of William Wyatt whose account, while short, is to the point. The other is that of Captain Thomas Preston, the commanding officer of the soldiers involved who gives a much more dramatic description of the event.
From 1450 to 1750, global networks began to expand. Though not every part of the world was involved in these expanding global networks, countries like China were. This was the time period of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties. There were changes and continuities with China’s participation in the global networks around this time period. During the time period between 1450 and 1750, China limited outside influence and their participation in the Silk Road Trading remained constant in global network trading, while there were significant changes in China’s participation in global networks such as Chinese converts to the Christian religion and China’s demand for an alternative medium of exchange.
Endearth Castle was more a fort than a Castle. Rising above the black cliffs of the western bluff, it was a bulwark against the high, violent, tides of the Catalas Sea that entered the Redwood Sound. It was the control center of the northernmost province in the Kingdom of Werland. Ships large and small used Endearth Port to ship cargo; spices and silk, came into the port from the West that was East, fruits and cotton fabrics from the south, sugar from the south and the Midin or 'Sweet' Islands, and gold was plentiful for Barons, and Merchants and commoners alike.
The Genocidal Innocence Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game has sparked many controversial seminars that have produced numerous critical thinking questions. Were Andrew “Ender” Wiggin’s intentions actually good, and was his commited genocide actually guilty? Jon Kessel’s essay, Creating the Innocent Killer, brings up many points that the author of Ender’s Game tried to hide Ender’s crime by making the reader feel sympathy for his past. Many different essays argue that Ender has psychological damage from his past, has been manipulated into doing things he didn’t want to do, and also suffers from anger issue problems.
I believe that the founding fathers of our countries are just in there actions of rebellion because the British government taxed them heavily without representation(taxation without representation). They also where just because the British government forced unfair laws on the citizens in the colonies. And finally they where just in rebellion because Britain taxed them for unfair reasons. The British government was unjust in taxing the colonies. The colonies had no representative in parliament to represent them when they where being taxed.
There are many perceptions about the Devil’s Tower for many tribes and Native Americans. For the Lakota people the Devil’s Tower is a place of worship and sacred ground, is is the “center of life” for them. The name the use to call the Devil's tower is Mato Tipila, which literally means the “The Lodge of the Bear”. The legend is that the Devil’s Tower was created to save a group of boys fleeing from a bear. They also believe that if a man had a deteriorating heath, mind, and spiritually was to go in it, he would come out as rejuvenated and with “excellent health”.
Colonial Williamsburg shows life in the 1700’s as the Revolutionary war was heating up and how the different people went about their daily routines, along with showing architecture dating back to the 17 and 1800s. One of the most important buildings there is the Capitol, originally built in 1705, the Capitol is deeply entwined throughout Virginian history as a link to the colonial times when American colonists struggled to rise for independence. The Capitol had great importance during colonial times and still holds value with the citizens in Williamsburg and all over the country. It, also has a strong connection with the motto “That the future may learn from the past”. This building is deeply deserving of a commemorative coin because it held the Governor’s Council and the House of Burgesses, helped us learn tyranny was unjust, and was built by contractor Henry Cary who created the Wren building.
In this unit, we had learned about the American Revolution. Some of the major topics we covered were the role of women, the role of slaves, the role of Native Americans, the roles of France, the life as a soldier and some of the major battles. The woman often held and engaged in boycotts, they were cooks/nurses in the army, some were spies and one woman named Deborah Sampson dressed up as a man to help fight in the army. The slaves ran away from their colonial masters to join as a Britain soldier because if they did they were promised freedom after the war. The free Africans had tried to promote that colored people should be freed by joining the colonist's side.
American Revolution Suppose the British had not taxed the colonies to raise money to pay for the wars. Would there still have been an American Revolution? Taxes were not the only problem between the colonists and Britain. The colonists were used to governing themselves. The 13 colonies were too far away and would have become too large for England to control.
A short story "The Bell-Tower" written by Herman Melville tells about the architect Bannadonna, who is building a tower with a bell for the city. Bannadonna is an ingenious architect who does not count on human sacrifices, extolling his creations over the rest. In this story, the author sought to show the image of a man of art, for which the recognition of his genius is the principal goal. One of the themes that the author raises in "The Bell-Tower" is the relationship between a man of art and his creation.
