The Tragedy of Hamlet Essay Shakespeare creates a beloved character by the name of Hamlet, whom soon becomes anti-heroic through his thoughts and actions after the death/murder of his father. Hamlet experiences peripeteia and hamartia throughout the course of the play through the actions and decisions he chooses to make. Eventually, Hamlet suffers the consequences of his decisions through his untimely demise but not without his own revenge. Although Hamlet was not yet being hunted, he was running in the wrong direction. At the point in time he decided to stab Polonius, his crazy attitude had overwhelmed his better judgments, and instead of his first action being to speak, it was to stab.
