Others believe that Transgenders should not be granted fundamental rights for various reasons; one of which being that it is morally incorrect and clashes with religious beliefs. Those who follow religious standards state that identifying as a transgender man or woman is an act that shall be frowned upon. God has placed humans in their correct gender and so it is wrong to label yourself as the other. If you identify as a transgender you may have a mental illness. If Transgenders were to be granted fundamental laws it would cause conflict against the majority of citizens around the world who practice religion, which is about 84 percent. Allowing a transgender student to play sports with the gender they identify with may open them up to rape, molestation, and injury and so they should not be granted this fundamental right. This point is similar to another reason as to why transgenders should also not be granted fundamental rights- it allows certain individuals to claim they are transgender so they may physically harm those in gender specific areas. Public bathrooms or locker rooms are designed for either females or males in order to keep the rate of rape and molestation down between the genders. Suppose a man or woman enters a gender specific facility that is opposite their own and causes harm to you or one of your loved ones. Justice would not be entirely served against that person because they can simply state the claim “I am a Transgender”. This opens an abundance of doors for pedophiles, serial rapists, molesters and more and puts the world and those who inhabit in danger for simply going to the
