Lord of the Flies, is a work of fiction by William Golding that takes place on an island. A group of boys who are suddenly stranded on an island after an unexpected plane crash have the journey of their lives. The boys learn more about savagery and lose their sense of civilization. After the boys break off, there is a war. Not a war in the world, but a war between the boys on who's better than the other and who should be named leader. After Ralph has lost Simon and been betrayed by his friends. Piggy and Ralph and a couple other guys took a leap into starting their own tribe,although sometimes Ralph and Piggy were scared of what could happen, they would always do it together. Golding says, “His head opened and stuff came out and turned red.” (Golding 181) Golding shows that although the boys struggle to keep a bond with each other does not mean some of them do not have a deep and emotional connection with each other. Golding states and shows that no matter the state you are in when you have a deep connection with a friend emotional damage is caused. No matter the state of mind or the position you can be in, a friend is sometimes what you need. More or less the shape of society and the way friends can be depend on the nature of the individual and less of the system on how we should do things. In conclusion, trauma can mess with one's mind.
