Through MRI imaging, he has not developed any further lesions but he did develop a condition called pseudobulbar affect, a disorder characterized by an uncontrollable pathological need to laugh or cry when it might be considered inappropriate. He tends to laugh at what seem like the most inappropriate situations, but are not connected to any specific event (Mayo Clinic, 2018). This disorder is found in people with neurological issues or head injuries, but is not very common. Over the last few years, his own symptoms have become more pronounced, and while many of his close friends and family are aware of the disorder, when people see him react inappropriately to a situation, it does not seem readily explainable about his otherwise inappropriate actions.

Small Things Matter Does the color of your walls, writings or pictures frames around the room really matter? According to the Broken Windows theory, the answer is yes. This criminological theory takes a radical approach in explaining the “tipping point” that causes people to commit crimes; simply put, humans are extremely sensitive to their surroundings and, for that reason, are prone to misbehave if they detect any physical disorder, big or small, in the environment. As presented in this theory, the power of context is truly overwhelming; something we consider trivial, such as the graffiti on the walls, can bring someone to put a gun to someone’s head.
Lewis’s influence is also evident in the way he blends reality with fiction, particularly in his role on “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Playing a version of himself, he showcased his neurotic tendencies to the delight of fans. This blending of reality with fiction has become a more common approach in comedy, with many comedians drawing on their personal lives to inform their work. Furthermore, his spirit of perseverance, despite health challenges, serves as a beacon for comedians facing their own obstacles. His last appearance in Season 12 of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” was a testament to his enduring talent and resilience.

“Depression is a disorder most commonly associated with adolescent suicide” (Hittleman 1). When the pain is too hard to endure, some choose to intentionally end their own lives. Teens usually face more difficulties than tweens, yet they’re not as mature as adults, making them the most vulnerable victims of depression. In Jay Asher’s novel Thirteen Reasons Why, he made an accurate portrayal of depression by delineating the pessimistic thoughts of protagonist Hannah Baker throughout her story, and without receiving succor from her friends, teachers or parents, committed suicide to end an unabated affliction.
