Final Rough Draft Have you ever just seen an artwork or painting and just thought to yourself what this might be or even mean. Many don't see that many artists try to hide the fact that they are using types of prejudice in art which you might say that it is not true or maybe even strange, but is it a reality in the real art world. Art has many sizes, shapes, colors, and many details. But people don't often look close into the details. There are many articles that can help someone see the way these details, of perhaps prejudice is an influence in many pieces. As well as how others try to stop this action. In this specific scenario it can be found in the art world. This is leading to many extreme ways of prejudice such as racism and sexism. Many don't have a broad knowledge that prejudice is spread in art, but it is done so much that many don't stand up for it. Tricia Tongo, in this article shares that sexism takes a big role in art, this being that there are not many female artists highly known in art as she says “women are still severely underrepresented in galleries and museums”. Group of girls known as the Guerilla Girls are big on breaking this act of prejudice. One of them is the famous Frida Kahlo. A way to stop this act in the world is to “Complain, complain, complain”, as Kahlo said herself. Showing that this can maybe be the only way people can respond and “recognize a problem” as Tricia adds.
