The Triple aim was developed by Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) with a focus on simultaneously optimizing health system performance by improving the patient experience of care, health of populations; and reducing the per capita cost of health care (Institute For Healthcare Improvement, 2015).. The patient care is focus on improving quality and satisfaction. Now the Triple Aim is moving away from traditionally fee for services and leading towards performance incentives

The Triple Aim approach is very integrated approach, which requires collaboration by building partnerships within the medical community. This partnership will allow collaborative of care for a patient. Ultimately, making each physician more effective because all medical records will be shared and widens the network of physicians to choose from. Once the patient population is properly identified then the approach clearly identifies health care initiatives to improve these outcomes.
