Truth Exposed In Alice's Adventures In Wonderland

“Why is a raven like a writing-desk?” asked the Mad Hatter but a better question would be why ask a question when you know there is no answer? Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was simply created to entertain for 3 reasons it’s utter nonsense, it contains no right or wrong, and Lewis Carroll intended that it way.
Immediately, the book begins with Alice, a young girl out in a field with her sister. Increasing in boredom by the second Alice spots an interesting Rabbit and decides to follow it into its burrow. After a long fall, Alice finds herself in a land of wonder where she meets the most outrageous characters such as the Queen of Hearts, a short-fused queen who enjoys a good beheading, the Mad Hatter, a quer man who sells hats but is stuck …show more content…

All the characters excluding Alice were not human but either an animal, myth, or an inanimate object which leaves one to wonder why but in truth there really is no reason. Ironically enough the sheer ridiculousness of alice in wonderland would take a book greater than the Alice just to explain it. The reason is because there is no reason. As the Cat claimed, “We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad. You must be or you wouldn’t have come here.” Morals are the expressing or teaching a conception of right behavior but are there morals in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland? Simply Put, no. At first glance it might seem there are morals but if one peers further they soon see the contradictions in the book. It is clear in the that most of the animals have attended a school and received an “education” but thanks to the Mock Turtle we find it is all nonsense from Reeling and Writhing to Uglification and Distraction so clearly there wasn’t any morals to be learned from their schools. Horrifyingly, the characters themselves are worse. Accidentally, Alice throughout the book gets caught up in many uncomfortable situations where not only she mentions her cat to a mouse and bird, but also talks of eating animals to those same
