After Taylor comes back from the doctor she cannot get the doctor’s message out of her mind. She is distracted while at the park with Lou Ann, and is worrying about her child's health.“I couldn’t stop thinking about the x-rays, and how Turtle’s body was carrying around secret scars that would always be there”(133).
