‘The old “Vine” in a new longer twitter bottle.’

Twitter launched its own 30 second video feature so we can film, edit & share the tweet video clips directly from the Twitter app. In just a few clicks, users can tweet a video, share their thoughts, and can capture every moment instantly.
The twitter world has not been more than 140 characters. Although, with Twitter we can experience today’s rich and immersive features - full of images, gifs, audio files and videos from some of the world’s most recognizable figures and brands.
The new video feature is as easy to use as Vine is, according to twitter. The published videos are previewed automatically at the thumbnail and they will play with just a click of a button.

It was in 2014, everyone knew the importance of video advertisement in the digital world which left Twitter unprepared to become the complete online market place. So, here the question arose that how to post a video to the 140-character tweets? Clearly, the twitter team needed a video feature to capture the moment, same as a tweet. This would allow advertisers to expand their marketing strategy in rival eco system (Youtube & Facebook).
The Twitter feature is only accessible to Verified Users. It is still in process to make it available to public. Till the end of 2014, videos from YouTube and Vine have been integrated in twitter but the official launch of the company's own video feature is likely to be started in the user’s timelines.
When Twitter has turned on the video feature for all verified users, it is a big competition for the other video marketing giants because as a matter of fact, the presence of world leaders, politicians, celebrities, journalists & writers on Twitter platform is well-known. When a famous leader or a celebrity will tweet a video on Twitter, this will automatically create a huge buzz among its followers and will lead to the top world
