The fox and the puppy both become friends, but something causes them to stop being friends. In the first movie, Tod went a separate way and met a female fox, Vixey. As for Copper, he went on with life as a hunting dog. Towards the end of the movie, Tod became one of Copper’s target. However, when Copper’s master had the gun in Tod’s face, Copper stepped in front of the gun to stop him from shooting Tod. Copper realized Tod was his friend, and after that they lived happily ever after. The Fox and the Hound 2 starts off with them being little again. It doesn’t follow the end of The Fox and the Hound, which is disappointing to me. The Fox and the Hound 2 should start with Tod’s cubs living their life or Copper meeting a female dog. This movie should not have started with when they were little again. The movie makes me feel like Copper and Tod are living a whole different life than they did in the first
