Twyla awoke quietly, breathing slightly heavily from another nightmare. It had been two years since she had ran from the lab, and she still had nightmares almost every night. Twyla glanced at her clock. 8:00, it blinked. She took a breath, getting out of bed as she blew her messy hair out of her face and quickly slipped into a soft, short emerald green dress. Twyla quickly brushed her hair, ignoring her messy curls and slipping on the same colored heels. She grabbed her bag, quickly dashing out of the door of the abandoned building she had called home. Of course, it wasn’t like she was hungry anyway. She just needed to get away from the monstrosity that was her classes. She raced the other students to the buffet to be the first few students to get their choice of meals. Twyla decided to go for roasted vegetable shishkabobs. “I’ll take three please” she kindly said to the worker. Twyla started walking outside to the courtyard. Outside she was walking while looking down to pick off the chicken and accidentally bumped into a girl with antlers. She blinked in slight shock, ignoring the oddness of her skin. The antler girl apologized for eating a piece of her chicken. “It’s alright,” She shrugged. “I wasn’t going to eat it anyway.” Twyla frowned as the girl spoke. “I’m sorry, but what did you say?” The antler girl repeated what she had said. “O-Oh, I was just looking at your antlers. Serves me right for staring, like everyone else and my skin.” Her voice quieted. Twyla slightly frowned at the girl saying her skin was a normal
