Once upon a time, there was a girl. She was brave and strong, she had an insatiable hunger for life, and she went out to stride for the better. She went with all her enthusiasm, and with all her power. The first thing she met was an army of soldiers, all exhausted and hungry. She wanted to feed them, because wasn´t it unbearable to see all these many men, miserable, these human beings, in pain and anguish? She went among them, to let them eat. And what did the soldiers do? They raped her. All the many of them. Afterwards, that girl was numb. She didn´t understand the world any more. All this pain inside of her, and the confusion. She saw their pain and their misery, and she wanted to bring them food. She went a little closer, and then she stopped. She thought. She would not run towards them like she did before. Too painful. Should she stop and give up all together? What else could she do? At night, she dressed like a chicken and she went among the soldiers, laying eggs in their hats. Next morning she was gone. When the soldiers woke up, they saw the eggs and drank them all up immediately. It did not satisfy their hunger, but gave them strength to march on. When she met the next army, she did not dress as a chicken at night, but instead she went to talk to the general. "General", she said "I have seen many armies. I have seen the men sleep in exhaustion at night and I have seen their hunger and their pain. Will you tell me why this is happening?" The general laughed and because she was good-looking he did not kick her out. He said "that´s what war is like". Then he wanted to drag her over to his bed, but she managed to escape. Why war? She wondered. It made no sense. This night she slept in the woods. She dreamt of the end of war. She dreamt of food for everybody. And she dreamt of herself. She saw herself with arms that were loafs of bread, and she saw herself feeding army after army. The war did not end. But everywhere she was, there was food. When she woke up the next day, she approached a baker, and became his apprentice. Now she is working, every day, making bread, day in and day out. And every soldier she meets, she feeds as if he was an army, every troupe she meets, she feeds as if it was an army. She is not waiting. She is feeding armies. And one day, she will start to grow. To train other people. Her bakery will expand. And she will be feeding armies. All her life, day in and day out. And the other people, who are just living their lives? Maybe they have an "army", and they just don´t know it. Or they do know it. I think if you know it, you are
