In A famous play writer known to many different cultures across the world, Tyler Perry the creator of Madea and many other films. One particular sitcom that has struck my interest before the show blew up The Haves and Have Nots. Focusing on the rich upper class readers can see the wicked nature of man who portray characteristics of monsters by their actions, expressions on their face, power of money and sexual desire important to many readers because people expect Tyler Perry to write a friendly family sitcom doing something totally different by focusing on the upper class.

Double lives signify an alter ego of a person. Alter egos can signify sexual nature of a person or even their inner self finally showing to the outer world. For instance, in The Haves and Have Nots a scene where Jim and his mistress just finished having sexual relations afterwards Jims go on to express his true feelings. “I never loved you Celine never I don’t love you now I don’t know I don’t love you then I came here into this house my house the one I paid for one reason for revenge and the truth came just shortly after I did you are one of the lowest people I have ever meet” (Season 2). The above scene in The Haves and Have Nots shows to the viewers the true sexually nature of Jim by using harsh words and strong diction; showing Jim only wanted to have sex with Celine to make her feel lower than she already feels. Focusing on the book Monsters helps to make the argument even stronger. The monster enforces the cultural codes that regulate sexual desire (Cohen 22). Sexual desire helps a monster to thrive even better when a monster has sexual relations with a person their true feelings typically always come out in the end. For instance, Jim Crowe is known for having affairs with many different women most people would think Jim would be satisfied with his wife who is the perfect wife but monsters are never satisfied.
